Richmond Gardens Play Park – A Play Park With A View!
Richmond Gardens Play Park is right on the main St Ives road through Carbis Bay. It is a beautiful spot, not at all spoiled by being so close to a busy road.
A word of warning, it does get a bit cold and windy here. It is quite exposed to the weather and so we always take an extra layer to wrap up in. On the plus side, there is a cracking view across the sea!
The main area is a big, well tended field for ball games and dogs. When ever we have visited, dog dirt is few and far between and everyone seems to clean up after their dogs. Hurrah!
The play park is gated to keep children in and dogs out.
It is a really well equipped, clean playground. There are:
- 2 baby swings
- 2 normal swings
- a traditional, quite steep slide
- a huge climbing frame with a tunnel slide
- 3 rockers
- a spinny seat (we call it The Pasta Bowl)
- benches and picnic tables
