Kidz R Us
Kidz R Us is an award-winning youth theatre company, dedicated to getting young people involved in the performing arts. There are about 100 children involved, and since 1994 they have produced more than 100 shows and won lots of awards. They often put on shows over the school holidays, and a traditional family panto at Christmas.
They hold their productions in the St Ives Theatre on The Stennack. This is currently being refurbished but they will be back soon.
The Guildhall
The Guildhall normally holds lots of events, from comedy to music and drama. However, it is currently being refurbished and will be back up and running in 2025.
The Acorn Theatre
The Acorn is a great theatre in Penzance town. It has a large program of live music, theatre, performing arts and comedy.
Penlee Park Open Air Theatre
Penlee Park Open Air Theatre is a unique space in the big park in the heart of Penzance. They put on all sorts of music and shows, from Gilbert and Sullivan to Roald Dahl.
The Minack
The Minack is an iconic theatre clinging to the cliffs by Porthcurno beach in West Cornwall. It is an open air theatre built out of stone and is very open to the sea and all that it brings!
They put on a big range of shows, from childrens events to Shakespeare.
Squashbox Theatre
Squashbox is a one man show that combines music, puppetry and storytelling. It is fabulous for kids and he puts on shows in venues across West Cornwall during the school holidays. We have been to several and loved them!
Rogue Otherworld
Step into the magical woods at Tehidy and find storytellers, fairies and everything otherworldly. It is an immersive experience full of colour, fire, and music.
We have been to shows both in the Summer, Easter and in the depths of Winter and they have been amazing. I recommend them to everyone!
Hall For Cornwall
Right in the centre of Truro is Hall For Cornwall. This is an amazing venue which puts on music, comedy, plays and all sorts of theatre productions.
