St Ives has an amazing range of places to eat out in. From top notch fine dining, to takeaways and everything in between. You will be spoilt for choice, I’ve never had a bad meal out in St Ives.
Before you read this please do bear in mind that I haven't eaten everywhere in St Ives. If I've missed off a place, it is because I've not been there...yet!
The Mermaid
The Mermaid is a lovely, cozy restaurant at the top of Fish St in St Ives. It serves loads of wonderful fish dishes.
I love all the memorabilia on the walls!
Rum & Crab Shack
The Rum & Crab Shack is a super atmospheric restaurant in the harbour. It is quite dark inside - not in a bad way, in a kind of inside of an old ship type of way. They do amazing crab and even better rum cocktails!

Talay Thai
Oh my goodness, Talay Thai is gooooood. My mouth is watering just at the thought of eating there.
They do utterly fabulous Thai food - my favourites are the red and green Thai curries with a Mojito cocktail on the side. Even better if you can get a table in the window ovelooking the harbour.
You can't book a table at Talay Thai but they will put you on a waiting list if they are full. They have a cocktail bar downstairs to wait in which is lovely.

Peppers
Peppers is such a fab little restaurant - serving very tasty and hearty Italian food. It is sometimes missed as it is up a little road off Fore St, but it is well worth going to. Their stone baked pizzas are so good!!!
Porthmeor Beach Cafe
Porthmeor Beach Cafe is the one right in front of the Tate. It overlooks Porthmeor Beach and has lots of different sections to sit in.
My favourite thing is their heated pods. These are tucked away at the back and have a roof overhead but are open to the sea. They seat quite a number of people (probably up to 8 or 9?) and if it gets cold you get blankets and can put the heater on.
They serve great food - lots of tapas things and a fab thai prawn curry.

Porthminster Cafe
Porthminster Cafe is a super fabulous restaurant. We go there for celebrations and treats as it is a little more fancy than some of the others. They do amazing fish dishes including the tastiest crispy squid starter (still thinking about it!).
It is situated right on Porthminster Beach too, so you get fab views too.

Blas Burgerworks
Blas Burgerworks quite simply do the best burgers I've ever eaten. Juicy, tasty, huge and loads of choice. Their onion rings are incredible too!
Blas is only small - it is in a little place just at the start of The Warren by Westcotts Quay. It has a lovely, cozy atmosphere with a sort of open kitchen bit.

Pedn Olva
We quite often go to Pedn Olva just for a drink. I love sitting in the big windows looking out over the harbour and the bay. It is amazing watching the weather roll in over a glass of wine. More often than not it turns into more than one drink and we stay for dinner. They do great pub food - probably nicer than most pubs though.
When the weather is nice it is lovely upstairs on the terrace too.
Una Kitchen
Over in Carbis Bay is Una. It is a spa, swimming pool (2!), holiday village and it has a great restaurant. Their woodfired pizzas are incredible! We eat here quite a bit as we use the pool - so I can highly recommend them.
