Hire A Beach Chalet In St Ives
Who doesn't fancy hiring one of those jaunty looking beach chalets on Porthgwidden Beach? It has always been a little dream of mine to hire one for the whole Summer. We would pack all our beach gear in there with deckchairs and a little camping stove. We'd have warm weather gear, wet weather gear, wetsuits, buckets and spades and all the trammel that we cart down to the beach and rarely use!

You can hire beach chalets on Porthgwidden Beach, Porthminster Beach and Porthmeor Beach.
Porthgwidden Beach Chalets
Porthgwidden Beach has 36 beach pods that are available to hire. They are on 2 rows - the Balcony and the Terrace.
You can book the chalets for 7, 14, 21 or 28 days at a time - single day bookings don't seem to be available.
The chalets cost £165 for 7 days for a Terrace chalet, and £190 for a balcony chalet.
Each chalet comes with 2 deckchairs and parasols and windbreaks are available to hire from the beach shop on the beach. There is no electricity or running water in the chalets and they are pretty small inside.
You cannot stay overnight in the beach chalets. They must be vacated each evening at dusk.

Porthminster Beach Chalets
There are 36 beach chalets (or pods) on the far side of Porthminster Beach (opposite end to the townside).
There are 2 rows of them - standard and superior.
The standard pods cost £125 and the superior £165 for 7 days. Again you can book these for 7, 14, 21 or 28 days at a time.
The Porthminster Beach chalets don't come with anything inside. You can hire equipment from the beach shop nearby.
You cannot stay overnight in the beach chalets. They must be vacated each evening at dusk.

Porthmeor Beach Chalets
Porthmeor Beach has chalets to hire on West beach. They cost £100 to £120 per week to hire in peak season (cheaper in low season. Each comes with 2 deckchairs. Call 01736 795963 to book.
